QLD Certificate of Registration Course
The Real Estate industry in Queensland is regulated by the Office of Fair Trading. The Real Estate legislation in the State, the Property Occupations Act 2014 and Regulation 2014, defines the roles, responsibilities and obligations for real estate agents and salespeople and property managers, and the educational requirements for each role.
The first step to becoming a real estate agent in Queensland is to be a obtain your Certificate of Registration. As a Cert of Reg holder you can work as a Real Estate Salesperson, Property Manager for a licensed real estate agent. However, you cannot operate your own agency, nor may you employ other real estate agents or registered salespeople.
A licensed Real Estate Agent is able to operate a real estate agency and employ registered salespeople and other real estate agents to work in the agency in many different capacities.
